Personal improvement scratchnote 1

Through the ignoble example of a normal acquaintance of mine, I have recently acquired the shrewdness of rubbing off others’ favor. For instance when I was confronted with the lack of a car back in Athens, I had the unrestrained courage to ask for rides. It seems ok to solicit such service from long term friends or people who I have helped before, but less so when I explicitly demand such service in return for some verbal injury or an immediate service I have metered out unwittingly. One should not be so outspoken about his vindictiveness, especially with matters that pertain to self-interest. Such quality belongs to the community of savages and children and should be forestalled in civilized adulthood.
